Right Trigonometry component angel calculating right?

In this simple example I'm just using the RTrig component to get angle A.  However, I must be missing something because it seems like I'm getting the wrong value for A when I change the length of side Q.  Am I doing something wrong?

I agree that the results being returned don't make sense and as far as I can see, you've done nothing wrong.  I added some components to draw the lines and compute the angle using 'ATan (Arc Tangent)'.  Note the conversion from radians to degrees...

I've never used the 'Right Trigonometry (RTrig)' component before so have no idea why it appears to fail in this case?

Thanks so much for checking and confirming, Joseph.  It looks to me that the outputs for A and B are swapped.

I'll see about getting it fixed for the next Rhino6 release. Thanks for the report!

Thanks for jumping in, David.  Should this be moved to the bugs area?

Nah it's fine here.

I can second that A & B are swaped in the icon.
You mentioned that it'd be fixed in the next Rhino6 release...
does that alread ship GH versions newer that 0.9.0076 ?
If so, would they be compatible with Rh5 SR13?

If so, would they be compatible with Rh5 SR13?

No, none of the versions that are build against Rhino6 will work on earlier versions. I'm sorry but this is broken for ever on Rhino5.

I was just prepping a bug report on this, but checked for prior-reports. The real problem is that A and B are reversed in the visual. (or swapped on both input and output sides). Here's my illustration of a 30-60-90 triangle drawn from the outputs, with side lengths measured...

Thank you

I cannot complain since grasshopper was given to me for free and it literally has changed my life!
Nevertheless this module has given me a lot of headache so I made a user component.
It's a spaghetti monster if you open it, but it works.
(I haven't used it in heavy constructions, and I haven't 'treeproofed' it yet.)

the problem was that with the original one, apart from the A/B switch, when you feed only two triangle sides, it doesn't return the angles
