@robert vier - No, it's not wpf.  We're just using standard GDI+ to draw all of the components on the screen (just like any other component in Grasshopper).  We're overriding the rendering methods so we can make custom changes though.  However, the trick was creating the actual image that you see, which is generate by using OpenGL to create an image from the camera viewpoint in an off-screen buffer and then compositing it back into the GDI+ rendering pipeline.

Can you tell me what the platform is for drawing coloured 3d meshes within gh's component render pipeline? wpf?
