algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I've got a few questions regarding branch structure and organization.

In this case the branch structure is very important as it is ID'ing the surface in the model, each sub branch organizing it into a more specific group. The number code I'm trying to create to match the surfaces works similarly. Right now I'm stuck where I've got the number of times each branch must be repeated but I don't understand how to relate it to the data being repeated so that each code repeats the correct number of times. Maintaining the structure is important.

Similarly, In the second image I've entwined a few branch structures using the graft option. Currently I'm path mapping to the "A" branch in order to match the structure of the grafted "G1,G2,L1" text panel. This works however it destroys the original structure of the geometry. Is there no simple way to have each grafted text item in the panel relate to the "A" branch of the geometry?? I.E. G1= {0;etc..} G2={1;etc..} L1={2;etc}

Please let me know if you need further clarification. And also any links to data tree information that might help me wrap my head around it. Right now I understand the general idea of it but as soon as 2 trees come into play on a component it gets super cloudy. Thanks!

There is a component in the Treesloth plugin called "Propagate Ancestor" which should do what you're looking for.

Thanks David!
