Thank you !
The rough drilling took 10 minutes with a 12mm (0.47 inch) diameter end mill.
The finishing with a 3 mm (1/8 inch) diameter end mill took about 3 hours / 700mm/min ( 2 ft 4 inch/min) feed rate.

how long to run? you rough it out with larger drill or maybe a rough surface pass then finish drill to final depth IDK..

It takes about three times as much with this drilling type surfacing, but I like the hexagonal honeycomb pattern.
The pattern makes nice shadows, you wouldn't see on a smooth surface

A very simple but striking effect! I would guess it could end up being alot slower than a standard sweeping pass, did you find that or was it about the same?
