hi. i am a beginner in grasshopper . i am learning some thing about cocoon. can you help me what is the relationship between radius and charge strenghts ? when i increase each one of them the volume enlarges.

It's a good question. From the rigging video you sent, it actually looks like it's something a little different from metaballs, as it jumps directly to really nicely resolved quad meshes. It looks to me like there's a custom topology solver for ball and connectivity rough quad mesh generation, then a simple falloff function to locate vertices, and some Catmull Clark SubD. It's something to think about...

Hmm...can you post the def? The charge interface solves identically regardless of the geometry type...

Pretty epic animation below David, little bit of camera work goes a long way.

Looks like this could come in really usefull in alot of different workflows
