Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Daniel,

After successfully installing K2 and going through your examples, things went wrong. Whatever I hook up the the Kangaroo engine, it turns red and gives the following warning:

1. Solution exception:Unable to cast object of type 'Grasshopper.Kernel.Types.GH_Curve' to type 'Grasshopper.Kernel.Types.GH_ObjectWrapper'.

The curious part of this it that if I load one of the example files, they work as expected.

Since I have had initial success with my own definitions only to have this recent problem after doing nothing in particular to change things, I am hoping you have advice.

Thanks as always,

Robin

Hi Robin,

Can you post one of your definitions that is producing this error?

Daniel,

Here is my version of one of your early examples.  I also noticed that when opening an example file that worked, when I copied and pasted the Kangaroo engine attached to all of your inputs exactly the same, that it also turned red. I hope this helps,

Robin

You have a curve object going into the GoalObjects input.

If you want to fix the length of the curve, use a Length Goal component.

Daniel,

I feel rather foolish in that I was trying to reconstruct a prior definition from memory and overlooked a crucial detail. Thanks for reminding me.
