Kirigami in grasshopper

Hey all, 

I'm working with kirigami (origami with holes in it) and trying to simulate it. I have a simple mesh and the mountain/valley folds set with Daniel Piker's origami gh script. It doesn't want to simulate correctly - does this have something to do with the holes in the mesh perhaps? Any help would be great, thanks:)
