Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Simple error/bug:

The output from a cluster is different than the results viewed inside(/editing) the cluster. The output seems to give an older solution, although the cluster itself has been updated. cluster Disable/Enable, file close/open, F6, unload/open Gh do not work.

Pics showing the difference in output/inside.

This is a common error for me too. What you have to do within the cluster is first unplug the cluster output component, then copy and paste it, and plug in the copy and delete the old one.

That was actually something I also tried, but it didn't work. I have to clarify (images not showing for me) that the difference is in the tree structure, not in content.

I have four copies of the cluster. I have not tried (yet) to make them unique. As a last resort, I can only think of copy-pasting the whole cluster content and the re-clustering them, but that seems a bit radical.
Actually I had it backwards. The cluster output was correct, but when editing the cluster, the data coming inside was old.

Question is then, when and at what occasions the data inside cluster edit is updated? Does the data represent the situation when it was created? What happens when you have several indices of the same cluster; what data are you using when editing cluster content? Is the data stored in the cluster input components at creation?

I have no knowledge to adequately respond. But I tell you my experience. When I put a definition in a cluster, and I want to modify it internally, for the changes to take effect, I have to unplug the input and output cluster components, copy (and change the name or description, if needed) and plug the new. Without more. Another thing, if you copy and paste a cluster, any changes you make in one affect the other.
