Kangaroo wins at 1st ALGODeQ competition

ALGODeQ is an international competition for algorithmic design programs, held for the first time this year.
There were 190 entries from 43 countries, judged by a large panel of professors and practitioners from around the world, in a multi-stage process.
The original intent of the organisers had been to award a single Grand-Prix, with an award of 1 million Yen, but during the judging process it was decided to award multiple highest prizes in 3 separate categories.

It is a pleasure and an honour to announce that Kangaroo was awarded the highest prize in the category 'Infrastructure as the grounding matrix for design'.
I am particularly pleased that this recognises Kangaroo as a general physics platform which is built upon by users for multiple different specific design applications.
So I'd like to thank all of this community for the enthusiasm and encouragement through the many applications of Kangaroo you have demonstrated.
I'd also like to congratulate the prize winners in the other 2 categories - RhinoVault and LMN Architecture.
Preparations are already underway for the second competition - I hope this continues to encourage future work in the field of algorithmic design and design tools.
