Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

frankly, i'm a big lost on where to start to make this transition...

currently i have a grasshopper model that defines the lines and points.

i now need to build components as families in revit then make a moving part model using revit + dynamo. so how do i model the families so that the reference points/planes can be manipulated as the overall form changes without exceeding the connection ranges of the components?

Hi Christine

I am no big Revit expert, but there is a GH>>Revit group over here where it might be easier to find users who are familiar with this workflow. Additionally, there are several projects that deal with live and non-live ways (with obviously advantages and disadvantages) to move geometry across programs.

You can also watch the video of how these projects work in general.

I hope this helps, at least a little.
