Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I've been using the Morph 3D List component in GH for some time and it has worked in the past. However, trying to use it lately (past few days) and it takes the entire PO list and places all of them in each grid cell? Attaching a GH file. Please advise.

Hi John,

you will need to internalize the surface and breps or post your rhino file as well.

Hi Nikos,

Attaching the GH and Rhino files.

Thanks,

John

Hi John, this is a screenshot of your definition once I opened it:

It doesn't seem to place all objects in all cells. Are you getting a different result?

hello

it does put them all, but since all are fed into PO input what was supposed to happen? what was the default behavior you got in the past?

cheers

alex

ps i havent used panelling tools for some time

it does use PO list but  not in all shells.

alex, nikos, in case you're wondering, i needed to graft the po list in the newer pt component. works now. thanks again.

Thanks for the feedback.

looks like a nice addition!

Interesting. Nikos, you are getting the results I want. But my results are a bit different (see attached). Not sure what's happening?

In both nikos screenshots and mine the pointsDom Gd output has data tree structure. yours does not. not sure why since the file you shared is ok and in your screenshot i don't see any flatten.

i turned off "preview fancy wires" but i don't think that would cause a problem?

no turning off preview fancy wires effects only the preview of the wires and not the data structure.

dont know if this a version problem i am using the latest grasshopper and panelling tools 2013.5.8.0

i just updated paneling tools and it's seems the problem started after. may be the case. thanks.
