Very cool. Nice work!

thanks arthur! yes I've been doing some real models of simple ones but for the structures with more elements it requires a lot of patience and time to make physical models. i would like to try soon. of course when the element lengths differentiate it's hard without digital fabrication and numbering.

Very cool! Have you done some physical models for some of the results for comparison?

thanks daniel! you made great script with freeform tensegrity!

Great work Piotr!

I think the approach to reciprocal systems I presented here could be applied with only some small changes to generating freeform tensegrity structures (and indeed that paper by Tachi was one of the inspirations for the approach used)

hi ps, covering random (freeform?) surface with tensegrity structure is pretty problematic. you can check tomohiro tachi text: http://www.tsg.ne.jp/TT/cg/FreeformTensegrityTachiAAG2012.pdf. i hope this will help you!

hey Piotr! Really cool! I found this thread because I interested in generating some sort of tensegrity canopy for classes on University. Would you like to share some info (at least basic) how to write a Grasshopper script to cover random surface with tensegrity structure? Pozdrawiam! :)
