Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello Daniel,

Anchor XYZ is great, but wondering if it makes sense to have something similar but with a custom vector for the direction.  Messing about with some sliding mechanical elements.  Or would you approach constraining Anchors not on x,y,z in another manner?

Thanks,

Luis

Hi Luis,

One option is to use PullToMesh with a mesh of a single quad. For a hard constraint you can also set the strength to 0.

Ok, I'll give that a try.

One of my colleagues had a suggestion that might be cool.  That the AnchorXYZ component accept a plane OR point.  If it is a point, then x,y,z axis booleans represent axis of WorldXY plane, if it is a plane, the x,y,z axis booleans are the axi of the plane input.

Thanks again!
