Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Two new components in the Human plug-in for Grasshopper allow you to draw meshes and text to the Rhino viewport such that it will stay aligned to the view.

You can play with the example definition shown in the video - download it here: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/heads-up-display-with-human

Hey Andrew -- this is really great and a huge help to almost anything I manage through grasshopper. Is there anyway one could mask the region behind the legend? That is, essentially just draw a static white mesh in the viewport so that the legend is always read clear when the 3D objects overlap whats rendered in static 2D?

I've attempted accomplishing this with your existing components to no avail.

Thanks again!

You did it! :) Great job Andrew. I will test it tonight with Ladybug/Honeybee legends. This is a game-changer.

I like it! its very subtle way to make the image pop. I just tried to recreate it with emphasis on lighting (posted image).

Nick - just a vertex colored mesh colored by distance from the object. a trick I use a lot to make hg display look more "rendered."
