Hey, thanks...here I was using a script...plus I am hiding the mesh edges and extracting the dual from the mesh...but it's easy enough to do with kangaroo, using the VertexNeighbours component:

Hi Mathias...thanks! this script never really got developed to the point where I'd feel comfortable putting it out there, but it is something that I intend to go back to at some point. I'll be sure to post it then...in the meantime, have you seen Daniel Piker's stuff on dynamic remeshing? there are actually many of the same principles used here as there, the big difference being that these focus almost entirely on valence, whereas Daniel's really optimizes for edge lengths, distributions, etc...his is more robust, for sure.

Hi David, I am really impressed by the simplicity/clarity of these meshes. I am working with a construction principle where the connectivity defines the geometry and it looks like your valence optimisation produces something that delivers exactly that.
