algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I am excited to announce that Firefly has a new and improved website (www.fireflyexperiments.com).  The website has many new features including a new forum and an e-commerce shop which includes products like the new Firefly Interactive Prototyping Shield.  The Firefly Interactive Prototyping Shield mounts on top of your Arduino Uno and provides access to a number of useful input (ie. sensors) and output (ie. motors) devices. Features include:

  • Three linear slide potentiometers connected to analog pins 0, 1, and 2
  • Two-axis joystick connected to analog pins 3 and 4
  • Light sensor (photocell) connected to analog pin 5
  • Three push buttons connected to digital pins 2, 4, and 7
  • Red LED connected to digital pin 13
  • RGB LED connected to digital pins 3, 5, and 6
  • Two servo connections on digital pins 8 and 9
  • connection to the Easy Stepper Driver (co-designed by Sparkfun Electronics and Brian Schmalz) to control stepper motors.  The direction of the motor is controlled through digital pin 10 and the number of steps through digital pin 12
  • High-voltage MOSFET circuit capable of driving lights, valves, DC motors, solenoids, or anything else requiring higher voltage or current.  The gate of the MOSFET is connected to digital pin 11 (PWM).

Come take a look at the new site, post some questions, and let us know what you think!

I don't think I would be wrong in immediately recommending that you contact the experienced Triare team with your question. Judging by their excellent article https://triare.net/insights/advantages-of-custom-design-over-e-comm... these experts are not only great at custom design, but they also have a lot of experience with such projects. Good luck to you!

Hi everyone! I am considering options for creating my online store and faced with a choice between custom design and using ready-made templates for e-commerce. I would like to hear your opinion and experience on this topic. What advantages do you think custom design offers over e-commerce templates? I would appreciate your advice and success stories when choosing one of these approaches. Thanks in advance!

If you are ready to pay for the quality, it is recommended not to try saving cents on it. Because you will have to invest much time, and this saving won't pay off. At least that is my own experience. I suggest you should visit website and read an article about the sort of web development providers you need.

Thanks, nice that it still works. But did I understand it right? They want me to do the coding myself? And the price will depen on how much I really want?

Hi Kwanphil.  Tutorials are next up.  I'm going to be working over the next few weeks/months on adding a bunch of new video tutorials.  So stay tuned.  And thanks for the feedback!
