generative modeling for Rhino

Interfaced through Grasshopper and Rhino modeling platforms, the ceiling structure of the Tunable Sound Cloud is controlled and adjusted to accommodate different acoustical settings.
Actuated with Arduino micro-controller and servo motors.
Cheers to Andy Payne for sharing how to connect grasshopper to arduino.

Thanks for the comment A-ngine. yes, this is a small section of a larger system. this study only shows the spacial/geometrical change, there is a second layer to it that controls the openings on the surface. there is some more info on this project on my blog , it needs to be updated but the description is still there.

Thanks for sharing the COOP HIMMELB(L)AU project, i was not aware of it but it's extremely similar to what i'm doing except the fact that my proposal is dynamic.

Delicious! Is the prototype shown just a section out of the whole ceiling geometry? Did you considered how to influence the flow of sound waves responding to the sound structure, or is it a more performative approach? So maybe you could show these guys how to improve their concept ;)

Best pat
