Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Experimenting with Kangaroo and Galapagos.

No real design intent, catenary vaults with kangaroo minimising solar incidence with Galapagos.

Optimisation runs for around 5 minutes

Nice exercise!

Yes pretty much djordje, its optimising correctly, but the whole exercise is pretty futile, as it reduces the amount of shade it actually creates. I think a better idea would be trying to increase usable space internally.

I was trying to work out the best settings for kangaroo with galapogos in general. I was finding that galapagos was running its iterations quicker than kangaroo would finish its formfinding animation. I found the best solution was increasing the 'subiterations' setting to around 300. Which means each iteration loads almost instantly.

Nice.
So the more green, the better?
