What version of Grasshopper do you have? Rhino4 or Rhino5?
What version of karamba are you trying to install?

Hi djordje,

thanks for the reply.

Yes, I have both Rh4 and 5 on my comp,

and before writing here I tried all of those options mentioned on

the thread you sent.

I tried everything possible I found.

I asked a friend to try and install karamba on his comp to see if

he gets the same issues as I did...

and he successfully installed it but it's the 32bit version,

where I have the 64bit one.

Is there a problem maybe with the 64 bit one?

I have no idea what to do next...

Hi Andrea.
Do you have both Rhino 4 and Rhino 5 installed on your PC?
Check your Karamba version (32bit version of karamba version for 32bit Rhino application, the same goes for 64 bit version) and placement of karamba.dll file. Take a look at these explanations.

Hi I tried everything on this and other threads,

but I'm still getting the PINVOKE error no matter what I do.

I need this for a project really bad and I've already wasted 3 days trying to solve this issue.

PLEASE HELP!

Hi Aste,

when installing Karamba together with GH for Rhino5 you need to change the installation directory to 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Grasshopper for Rhino 5\'. Did you do that?.

Best,

Clemens

Do you use the new Grasshopper version for Rhino5? In that case you need to change the default installation directory when installing Karamba. Did you uninstall any old Karamba before installing the new one? Did you read the related posts?

Best,

Clemens

Hello,
each time I open a Karamba example file I get this error on the Assemble component-
Solution exception: The type initializer for 'fem.carambaPINVOKE' threw an exception.

I can't make my own definitions as well because of it.
How can I fix it? Thanks.

Is anyone else having trouble installing Karamba? The tab doesn't show in Grasshopper after I've installed the trial. Here's my set up

karamba_64bit_1_0_2_TRIAL_GH_09_0014

grasshopper_wip_20121030 - 0.9.0014  (for Rhino 5.0 only)

rh50EvaluationTimed_x64_en-us_20120927_2230 (the newest 90-day evaluation)

most other grasshopper plug-ins work as intended.
