Parametric Connected Holes

Inspired by Lars's Selfintersecting Moebius Band. I add 2 parameters to control the form: Number of Rounds and Number of holes. However, the user has to fine tune all the parameters in order to get a suitable parameter combination. Here are some output of the denfination.

Selfintersecting Moebius Band

Continuing to explore the work of Rinus Roelufs, I had some progress with the selfintersecting Moebius band.

The holes that permits the surface to weave into itself are now circular. The definition is not all that parametric yet, meaning you can only change the size of the moebius, the size of the holes and whether the moebius band should be twisted… Continue

Connected holes

The first experiment with intewoven surfaces. Inspired by Rinus Roelofs work - connected holes.

Have a closer look at the presentation on Prezi.

I really like the Box Morph component in Grasshopper. Though… Continue

Interwoven surface

Inspired by the work of Rinus Roelofs I did a GH definition to weave surfaces. At first it used the Rhino command "Patch" to create the surface from boundary curves. Unfortunately "Patch" is not accessible in GH, so in this version another Rhino command - "NetworkSrf" - is used instead.

To use the definition you'd have to bake… Continue
