How to merge a Hexagonal pattern with a Voronoi pattern?

Hello,

I am working on a facade pattern definition, and I could use some help, as I, frankly, don't know what I am doing.

I am after a facade pattern which is a blend between hexagons and voronoi. Basically, let's say we have a square surface, I want this square surface to be of hexagons at the left part and gradually these hexagons transform into voronoi at the right part of the square surface. So, I want a gradual change.

Now, I want to use this…

SmartGeometry CPH 2011 Live Coverage

Hi everyone!

SmartGeometry 2011 is on, and I will try to keep track of what's going on with a live coverage photo/video report. This year, I will be using my own web+flickr+youtube, so that David doesn't blame me for overflooding the forum... ;-)

Check it out here:

Hi everyone,

Im trying to get some point sorted so i can then sort them and link them by polylines, to create a foldable surface. i am really stuck and i can figure out how to get the numbers to start at one of the end point and continue in sequence.

Freeform Concrete Shelter

The Shelter was initially a thesis project on the manufacturability of advanced freeform architecture in concrete but when presented to the project partners there was no hesitation in the desire to construct the Shelter. Now we are halfway through the project and the Shelter is looking great. The next weeks will show whether our structural assessments were correct and our post-tension system will function as planned.

ACADEMIA: Fall 2010 - CUHK: Final Reviews

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with theoretical and practical conditions needed for the creating of experimental cross-fabrication(s) between geometry and materials as well as the understanding of scale within architecture. The study and work will be a crossover between architecture and art, with a high concentration on the developmental nature of experimentation and details. While, the project process will emphasize the analog as much as the… Continue
