SmartGeometry CPH 2011 Live Coverage
Hi everyone!
SmartGeometry 2011 is on, and I will try to keep track of what's going on with a live coverage photo/video report. This year, I will be using my own web+flickr+youtube, so that David doesn't blame me for overflooding the forum... ;-)

Unfolding with Compound Transforms
Cross posted here.
UPDATED TO WORK WITH VERSION 0.8.0010
Lately, in some of my work I have been investigating unfolding complex forms with Grasshopper. The newest release of Grasshopper enables the use of Compound Transformations, which makes it possible to quite efficiently unfold strips of planar surfaces. In the past I have had to use pepakura or other similar utilities to perform the…

Freeform Concrete Shelter
The Shelter was initially a thesis project on the manufacturability of advanced freeform architecture in concrete but when presented to the project partners there was no hesitation in the desire to construct the Shelter. Now we are halfway through the project and the Shelter is looking great. The next weeks will show whether our structural assessments were correct and our post-tension system will function as planned.

Curves on surface??
I joined here in July of last year and am just now finding enough time to play with Grasshopper. One of
my projects requires dividing a surface with a grid and drawing lines on the surface through the grid points. I can draw one set of lines but unable to figure out how to draw the second set. I can draw
straight lines through the second set of points but not curves on the surface. I could use some help with this if anyone has the time? Attaching what I have developed…
