Component Exception; how to find/ resolve?

The surface issue is a problem within GH or is it more likely a problem with a surface being referenced from the rhino view port? …Continue

What if the Grasshopper UI had an easier way to quickly ID processes intensive components?

Just a thought, seems like my definitions over the past year have really gotten slow.  Its probably my increasing level of completely i ask from the program, although while waiting on my pc I…Continue

"This is awesome. I'm sure it will be great use for grasshopper users too. I'm thinking, you can't really import view from another window without aeropeek. But you can make an application topmost using visual basic.  I will try if…"

Rhino Viewport Preview in Full-screen Canvas - Potential Solution?

Like others, I have often struggled with the best window arrangement when working in Rhino and Grasshopper simultaneously. Most of the time I opt for a dual screen setup to allow Rhino and Grasshopper to run at full screen.  I've gone as far as using an iPad to use as the second monitor via AirDisplay (which actually works really well) but have never been satisfied with any setup that required you to look back and forth as if at a tennis match all day long. Not long after first using Grasshopper…See More

Component Exception; how to find/ resolve?

The surface issue is a problem within GH or is it more likely a problem with a surface being referenced from the rhino view port? I haven't run into this in quite a while, but cant seem to figure out how to resolve a component exception with a a surface within a very large definition with several cluster components.…See More

David Rutten replied to Tyler Selby's discussion What if the Grasshopper UI had an easier way to quickly ID processes intensive components?
"Hi Tyler, it's something worth looking into, both the memory usage and processor cycles per components would be interesting to see. There are however certain complications. Components only run when they have something to calculate. If you…"

What if the Grasshopper UI had an easier way to quickly ID processes intensive components?

Just a thought, seems like my definitions over the past year have really gotten slow.  Its probably my increasing level of completely i ask from the program, although while waiting on my pc I wondered where the slow component might exist in the definition and if it were a mistake to be fixed, unnecessary or just a reality of the scale and scope being looked at for the definition.Perhaps it could be located along the bottom of the window as a string of icons in a similar way as the Markov…See More
