Mesh movement/ spreadsheet set of data: HELP!?

Hi all, I've been learning grasshopper for approximately a month. I am having trouble creating a definition that utilizes spreadsheet data. What I would like is to create a definition that allows a mesh vertices to move in the "z" vector to an attractor where the height of the movement for each point matches a corresponding number in a data table. "Thank you! it is close but not quite there. Placing the excel in this location creates a static extrusion. I need to figure out how to make each point associated to the excel so that the maximum movement corresponds to the value on the spreadsheet.…"

I am working on a project where I have created a mesh that moves in the "z" to a point on a curve attractor. What I am hoping to create is a definition where the resulting movements or point extrusions along the mesh are dictated by an excel spreadsheet. I have Ghrowl and know how to get load the spreadsheet. New to grasshopper and attempting to create a mesh that responds to a point attractor

I've been working in grasshopper for approximately three weeks. I have a project idea where I want a mesh or terrain to respond to an attractor where the response is a smooth deformation in the "z".I have added Kangaroo and weaverbird and feeling that I have gotten way over my head. Are these the tools that I need to create what I am looking for? Can someone point me in the right direction?
