45 Point Attractor

I am placing circles on my ceiling that respond to the proximity of the columns. Hence the close the circles are to the column, the smaller they get. I am following a tutorial on this site:http://designreform.net/2008/07/grasshopper-patterning-with-2-attractor-pointsBut the definition only works for 2 points, is there an easier way to make this work then to copy and paste it 45 times. For the tutorial I…See More

Box Morph within custom grid on custom surface

I am trying to make a definition for a ceiling pattern that will place a set of closed curves: A and B, within each box of  a grid that I created. The size of the closed curve will not get bigger than the box it is contained within, and will scale proportionate to the distance from the columns spread beneath the ceiling.I believe my definition will make use of box morph, my question is, how do I make several box morphs adhere to the curvature of my surface and to each box contained within my…See More

Boundary-based Curve Deformation

I am trying to create a grasshopper definition with the following rules. There are 3 sets of curves:Curves to Deform = C(A)Building Boundaries = C(B)Site Boundaries = C(S)The following pseudo-code is as follows:If C(A) is within the boundaries of closed curves C(B), then vector V(A) is created based on the distance of point on C(A) to the nearest point on C(B). This vector will be multiplied by a number (adjustable) to move the point on C(A) out of the boundaries of C(B).If C(A) is out of the…See More

Deforming Pattern out of Regions bounded by a Region

I am working on a definition to deform the ceiling pattern of the Farnese palace so that it moves out of the boundaries of the buildings in plan but stays within the greater rectangle. I also want it so curves do not overlap. I have tried to make a definition in grasshopper, using a small section of the pattern but it is not doing what I want it to. I am new to this and any help would be greatly appreciated. The picture I uploaded shows the yellow force moving curves outside of the buildings in…See More

Deforming a Curve Set Based on Boundaries and Proportions

I have written a pseudo-code for the behavior I am trying to achieve, see the photo attachment. I have also attached the file of the pattern and the site which it is supposed to interact with.I want the curves to move outside of the perimeter of the buildings while not overlapping each other and by staying within the outer-most rectangle. I am not sure how else to say it besides what is shown in the attached sketch.See More
