### PROBLEM making a planar surface/loft in curves5 Replies

Hi, i hope someone can help me! I made a Voronoi and mapped it to a surface! But now i want to make a surface through the resulting curves.. but I can't! Can someone help me??

### Voronoi in surface10 Replies

Hi does someone know how to fit a voronoi in a surface??I just saw a discussion where they talked about voronoi in a sphere, and found the result i was looking for.. making a voronoi-like structure…Continue

### Intersection between tessellation and curves from metaball/surface

Hi there, I'm new with grasshopper and I'm trying to work on some school project.Thing is I'm trying to make an intersection from a tessellation and some curves I took from a metaball definition. I…Continue

"i'm doin' the same thing but projecting on every surface one voronoi curve...   can I show you a brand new discussion that I opened for obtain one thing?"

"Ok,   I would do it like this: - Create a bounding sphere - search in the forum for -vornoi sphere- - create the voronoi onto the sphere - project the voronoic crvs onto the srf (brep)   how about this? Best Regards DeDackel"

"well,   i would to connect a voronoi on each face (the green ) and I don't mean each face like a unique face....    "

"First thing I would do is decompose your Pts. And set all y values to the same one.   then select the face the Pts are in (explodeBrep-output F- by item)   Have a look at my file above. at the bottom there is exatcly what I describe…"

"ok,....but it's my screenshot!   I want to have that voronoi on each surface (GREEN with red dot)   I have only that surface and a red box (the box that I set with SET ONE BOX for obtain the voronoi)   and now?   thanks alot"

"The Logic is:   create a voronoi in plane (this is S-Base Srf) then map onto a curved Srf (this is T- Targed Srf)   Best Regards   DeDackel"

"  Hi Karen,   Maybe I misunderstood what you need. Do you want to "map" some Voronoi cells to a surface and then you want to get outside these cells surface/s (that's what I understood you tried by planar/loft)? Am I right?…"

"I was wondering, if your offset is in the right direction?   And which curves do you want to use for which surface? :-)   Best Regards   DaDackel"

"Have a lok at the ghx.   The pathmapper are not needed, but looks better this way:-) The Join does not work because you have a different amount of curves (param shows 111 and 114 branches), but you can still ues it. Grasshopper ignores…"

"Thank you very much!!! It was really helpful!! I'm just having some trouble, because in one of the skins it doesn't work, and I think it is because of the planes I'm using..   Hope you can help me again! =)"
