Hi Luca,
yeah, Yes, exactly, you've hit the nail on the head with your second answer!
The shatter command starts splitting periodic curves in the "starting" point of the curve, and not in the first subdivision point fixed by parameter!
Excuse me Carlo I have understood what's your problem, it would seem that with the Shatter component the curve also divided in the point where it has beginning and end.
This is your case:
but I don't know if there is a quick solution,if there not…
Hi Carlo,
I don't know if you have 4 points on curve in different location or if you want divide your curve in 4 equal segments.
In the second case, you can utilize one of the two methods you can see in the image.
You can post your question on mixexp…
I know that it's a basic question, but I don't know how to split a periodic curve into 4 segments starting from 4 points. If I use the shatter component , I obtain 5 segments: three of them are correct, but the other two are the segment from 0 to the…
Hi David,
this tool seems to be something great! I'm trying to understand how it works.
I'm searching references on the web to understand what an "evolutionary solver" is, and if Galapagos is a stand alone software or a kind of plug in linked with G…
Hey Daniel,look at this: http://www.grasshopper3d.com/video/catenaria-1
I have created many more tools starting from that concept. I'would really like to make them usefull in some research or ideas.
My concept was to work with nurbs to obtain cate…
I used the hiperbolic function ( y=a cosh (x/a) ) but this one works just for x between -1 _ +1, and only works for catenaries that are "hangued" from to points at the same hight. I can send you my definition... I just don't know how should I send it to you.
I've been working on a catenary description, and I have a question for you. My catenray for the moment works only when the two points are at the same high, how did you manage to resolve it. Any help wolud be very apprecated. Thanks
