offset on surface doesn't extends to surface edge

Hi all,Does anyone know how to implement the offsetOnsrf so the outcoming curve extends (as rhino command does) to the surface edges? There's a quite old thread about this question but nobody could help,I'm attaching some of files, running the command in Rhino, which does it ok, and the same in GH which doesn't and trying it inside Gh but calling the rhino command through GHpyton, but annoyingly, it ends with the GH solution not the Rhino solution, so, death road....should anyone give it a try,…See More

Paul Wintour replied to Roig's discussion Keep data from loop to loop in the group Hoopsnake
"Simply connect up a data record component. You'll need to activate it before activating HS. You'll also need to reset it too before re-running."

Keep data from loop to loop

Hi all,I need to keep data from loop 0 to loop n, but once the false test comes to B* and the HS jumps to the next loop count, all generated data is erased/reseted.I'd read the forum, i'd read about append/prepend, which I can't find right-clicking in the component.I've tried to write solutions out to a file with a c# componet someone'd shared in there, but this is complicated to articulate in many definitions (you need to call back that file, etc)I hope i'm missing something, which is more tha…See More

how to use last every iteration as input for the next one

Dear all:I´m trying to subtract a set of spagueti style cilinders from a box. Boolean solid difference only works if I only try to subtract a single cilinder but it returns nothing if I try with the whole set of cilinders (some kind of bug), so I thought, desperately, that it could be possible with HS, making a solid difference one by one.The thing is the I can't make my mind on how can I use the last solution as the input for the next solid difference in a cumulative way. maybe the images…See More

Hi Antonio,

it was more than 4 years ago, so my memory is a little vague. I think I constructed the buildings as polysurfaces, and then meshed them. This added the irregularities in the joining parts. Then I relaxed the mesh (think Kangaroo, even though it did not exist back then) and extracted the wireframe. While relaxing, the top and the bottom were fixed. They originally already had that circular form. Does this explain enough?

Hey Antonio,

The geometry gym group is probably best place to ask questions, then I can attach files etc.  http://www.grasshopper3d.com/forum/topics/extruding-profile-through-a  might help you with orienting a profile to a surcace (surface normal closest to path curve mid point).  I can add mesh if needed, but I'm sure in your case you can generate the underlying cylinder.

Let me know if it doesn't help.
