Laying out Components 2D for laser cutting
1 Reply

Hi Guys,I've designed a simple chair in grasshopper made out of a repetition of 2 components. I am trying to layout the components on the XY plane as 2D for laser cutting. I know I could just use the…Continue

Laying out Components 2D for laser cutting

Hi Guys,I've designed a simple chair in grasshopper made out of a repetition of 2 components. I am trying to layout the components on the XY plane as 2D for laser cutting. I know I could just use the curves I used to draw the components, however I am planning to create joints from the final brep. then lay them out. some of the components layout correctly, however the rest duplicate quite a few times. please take a look at the attached image and 3dm, gh. files. Thanks!…See More

"Hey thanks for the definition mate. i got the mesh to work. but it always intersects the building. i tried making points on the building but they dont read. is there any way to make the mesh drape over the building? have a look below. "

Help with Lofting Scaled, Filleted and Projected Voronoi Curves_Urgent!

Hey Guys,I have a set of voronoi curves than I have scaled, and then projected onto a curved surface. I want to then loft the original curves with the scaled ones, and then extrude them with an attractor. Lofting these curves before the projection is no problem. But I am having a lot of trouble matching the lists when I project them because when I project the original curves and the scaled curves soem of the items drop off. I've attached some screen caps and the definition + rhino file.…See More

Hi Guys and Girls,I Have a set voronoi polygons and am trying to use a set of attractor curves to cull the polygons that are near. I've attached some screen caps and the definition + Rhino file. I've listed the polygons I want to cull, But I cant seem to subtract them from the base list. Please help! Thanks. So below, highlighted are the polygons I want to cull.…See More
