Circle CNR aligned to curved surface

Hi all,Just a quick question: Is it possible to align circles made by the CNR component onto a curved surface such that it flushed with the surface curvature. much like tiling a curved surface with…Continue

Diagrid Edge and Extruding in direction of surface normal

Hi guys,I am doing a case study on the Carpenter Centre Puppet Theatre done by Harvard GSD students. I'm not very familiar with grasshopper and rhino nor am I proficient in scripting, however I have…Continue

"Your example shows that three mid-points moving inward/outward in equal distance and reside on a circle centered on the triangle's center of mass -- that's because they are on an equilateral triangle. For non-eqilateral triangles, just…"

Help!! Vector Issues

Sorry guys! I've just ran into another problem with Vector2pt.I am trying to set up a behavior between two points using the Vector2pt component, however as seen in the picture below, the point circled in blue is unable to move towards the target point circled in green. Instead it has moved away from the target point, hence the resultant point circled in red. I would like the point circled in blue to move towards the target point circled in green properly and I suspect it has something to do…See More

"Just saw your file and tried to figure out what you intend to have. Here comes a straight way of getting circles on the triangle panels (not onto the surface) -- see the attachment. Once you increase the number of divisions you get smaller…"

pyrit replied to Adeline Leng's discussion Circle CNR aligned to curved surface
"i think you may first look out how to tile your surface. because if you want to maintain same sizes, i assume that also your tiling has to be made out of equal parts. but then you are limited in getting the overall shape, because with bigger…"

"Yes, as long as you can get the normal vector of a point on the surface -- try Evaluate Surface component for this matter."
