Thanks Greg :) Since the CNC Milling-machine could only accept the largest format of 2440x1220mm material, and most of the waffle-struts were higher than 2,5-3meters, we made a simple puzzle-joint in grasshopper, and then we simply divided the struts into smaller parts. When connected, we bolted and screwed metal-plates(http://www.thybohandel.dk/files/products/165/c/1.jpg) on both sides, to ensure stability.

The waffles/struts were milled on a big CNC milling-machine - theres a video showing the whole process on http://socialtechnologies2010.wordpress.com/ :)

Nice work! Those are some BIG waffles. How did you go about splicing the pieces together and what did you use to cut each piece?
