Comment by Mateusz Zwierzycki on June 7, 2012 at 7:18pm @Michael - to omit remove duplicate points component, you can first create polyline and then extract its points and create interpolated curve with them. Creating polyline will automatically remove duplicates cause polyline's segments which lenghts are = 0 will collapse.
Comment by Michael Pryor on June 7, 2012 at 4:53pm @Mario, thanks. @Adam, there is no medial axis, I take points, separate the points into a:those inside the shape, b:those outside the shape. Then I send the points inside the shape to their closest point outside the shape. Then remove duplicate points, and interpolate curves.
Comment by Adam Holloway on June 7, 2012 at 4:03pm How does it work? Do you find the medial axis of the shape and then find the points in your grid nearest any of those points?
Comment by MARIO VERGARA on June 7, 2012 at 12:58pm very nice
