simply said. its 4curve surface, grid on it, offset, diagonal grid of that offset surface, than calling every fourth point and make a pillar (which you don't see) along this pillar create three rectangles - bottom middle top - connecting corners, and the last is populate panels on the rooftop, that was more complicated - different panels to different location according to some variate parameters.

how did you generate the structure in grasshopper, its really great!
