How can i make it?

I want to see component

thanks for your response, ilija, i'm still having trouble with the larger than/smaller than functions - when i plug a list of lengths (the same list that i use for the circle radii) into the "larger" function it doesn't separate them; all the numbers (A) are listed as greater than the other number (B) that I enter for comparison, even though when I bake the result and test it, there are radii that are smaller than the number I plug in for (B). Is the "larger than" function extracting some other quality of the numbers (their list position for example)? Or is there another reason it isn't functioning correctly?

Hi,

I just read my own comment from 2009 below. However, the 2D base point grid should equal the sampling of the image (all to set in the image sampler options.) Each sampling point of the image receives its specific black/white value. What I did was to take those values as the radius for each circle placed on the 2D grid points. Then I found a simple geometric solution to get only 5 radii. Each 2D gridpoint was the start point for a vertical line in the length its specific black/white value from the image sampler. Those lines were then divided using the "divide by length" component. In this case I assigned a length, which divided the lines by five and lower. The distance between the starting point and the last division point of each line drove the radii of the circles and were integers between 0 and 4-5radii.

Does that help?

Hi Ilija, How did you constrain the sizes?

NICE!! Just got this working. Does anybody know if there's a way to make this 3D by having the circles vary in height based on size?

yes i had a problem with the image sampler, i ended up figuring out that inside the image (if you double click on it) you have to select brightness and contrast and then change the proportions on the image in the image sampler there are some numbers there change them and play until you make the image fit the grid of circles you have

Hi Guys!

I've tried to get the image sample to work, but I have had no luck....I keep getting what Francisco had earlier, that was that the circles were all the same size. any advice?!

ok got it finally!!! I couldnt open leanid's file but some how I solved it.
some of the parameters where wrong pluged in the portrait def. I got them changed and started working.

Here is a def for the latest version of GH.
