Thanks, I used a combination of the "sHull3d" Starling component for the body and basic cylinders to construct the fittings and finally weaverbird for the fused look.

Loving the look of your nodes though, the numbering and securing tabs looks very neat!

what method did you use to get the geometry of the nodes?

a while back I worked on a similar concept and used the t-splines plugin for gh:
