Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

This is a script based on the concept of a mutating unit according to curvature values. The local curvature value defines the geometry of the 'patch' unit by a subdivision method that ranges from 2 squares(the glazing) to 2 triangles through a gradient of trapezoids. The function is being controlled through a VB.NET script component which contains consecutive 'if, else' statements in order to 'channel' the decision making process. The thickness and the depth of the structure is also connected to the curvature. Practically every change or manipulation of the host surface has an impact on the geometry and the distribution of matter on the canopy. The sensitivity of this responsive behavior can be adjusted through a set of parameters.

I am wondering if you could share how you managed your VB 'if then else' statements
