i m working with metaball(t)custom component for some time now, and i really liked that you work with non parallel planes unlike most of the others i ve seen. I tried to work on that direction, experimenting with the random planes you mention based on the points, but somehow i cannot make it right. could you please provide some information on how exactly these planes are generated? i m using the plane normals component but cannot make it happen.! hope to hear from you soon! thanx!!

Comment by Csiby Zsolt on June 18, 2011 at 2:48am You choose the Metaball(t) Custom component that needs 5 things:
P -points that are charged to generate the metaball
C- point charges
Pl- the planes in wich the curve-s are generated
I generated 100 random planes using the points (4) that are charged
By default the curves are generated on the XYplane, that is why You get 2d metaball
T, A = default
Comment by Bryan on June 17, 2011 at 5:43pm can you tell me how to use mataball for 3d?
in grasshopper, i can only find mataball for 2d
