Share 'problem with replace string component'

I'm trying to move certain items in a list and I tried to replace the dots moved using the replace string so as to easily reconstruct the curve but it would appear the component replace string dont work for all inputs. Someone can give me an explanation and a solution to the problem? Thanks to all in advance.
