Share 'Square Extrusion honeycomb panel'

Hi   I am essentially hoping to recreate the pipe function except with a square section along a polyline  I have used a script to create a honeycomb panelling along a surface as can be seen in the attached jpeg.  I wish to turn each one of these panel edges into a square extrusion like the other jpeg i have attached   Im really stuck and would be really greatful for any help! cheers
