I haven't heard about any groups or anything but I'm sure you could find people with similar interests at OSU. I taught grasshopper to sophomores there as a TA and I know some people are definitely interested.
Also, Troy Malmstrom usually teaches a GH seminar there, I'm sure he wouldn't mind you auditing.
