Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone,

I made a wind-facade but somehow the louvre doesn't moves independently. I was wondering if it is possible to make the wind load non-uniform, e.g. generating the wind-load random as various single acting load with arbitrarily energy-tweaks? I am mean like when wind blowing over barley grass field...

any elegant idea?

The mesh data you internalised in the mesh component isn't transferring across. I'm only getting null items.

Hi Daniel,

sorry about that. I just update it.

Is this what you were after? My interpretation of a different wind loading on every louvre.
Relatively simple fix. All you need is a different seed value for every mesh in the random generator, that way, the movement of each louvre is defined by a wind strength.

Hi Daniel,

thx for advise. I combine one attractor to it, and multiply the 'power' of attractor from z-direction of panels, which makes the non-uniform load more organized looking...

now it looks interesting...

I am interested in doing a similar thing, Did you have any luck? Have you seen this discussion?

Hi Charles,

thx for sharing me this links! Its awesome!
I actuelly tried to manupulating the vector field like Daniel discribt.
My random variations works fine but the algorithmus is a bit complicated.
I have to admid it that the Purlin-Noise based solution is smarter! ;-)
