algorithmic modeling for Rhino

hello,

i am trying to adapt daniel's "simplified origami" example to this hexagonal crease pattern: http://www.origamitessellations.com/docs/3636_Waterbomb-Eric_Gjerde...

i drew the crease pattern here:

but so far, i was unable to create the mesh that goes with it, i.e. a mesh whose edges correspond to the folds.

for one i have trouble getting around rhino's triangle/quad mesh restriction but i am unsure also about how to combine all these meshes into one single mesh for the "origami" cluster in the "simplified origami" example.

following david's advice, i am looking into planarizing multiple meshfaces (see screenshot) but haven't gotten very far yet.

any pointers to docs, tutorials and the like would be highly appreciated!

hello, i figured out how to construct my meshes for rectangular and triangular crease patterns. how can i work around this restriction for hexagonal and other - more complex - patterns? if i understood correctly i should use the "planarize" force in kangaroo to force multiple meshfaces to stay flat, but i am unsure how and where to insert it in the origami cluster... any help appreciated. thanks, r
