generative modeling for Rhino
Hi everybody,
I'm trying to echieve a flat quad panels from a duoble curved surface.
I was using Daniel's panalization file as starting point.
But the resault panels are not planar.
Perhaps someone can help me out here, and tell me what am I doing wrong?
I've attached a printscrean of the part from Kangaroo.
Thanks :)

Hi Ran,
Your setup looks okay, but you need to include some other forces as well as planarization.
For example some laplacian smoothing, or making the edges springs, or making the vertices AnchorSprings.

I will try that
Cheers :)

I've tried to use the sripngs and laplacian smoothing but still as you can see in the image that I've attached the surfaces are not planar :(
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks :)

Now it works like a charm :)

thanks!

Sorry for the late replay, but this is basically what I've done (not that much):
the only thing that I've changed was to twick the numbers a bit and it worked, it toke some time but I finally got it.
I can only say one thing: you need to find the correct balance between the numbers, to much and the geometry will go crazy to little and it wont do the job or only part of the geometry will transform.
