generative modeling for Rhino
Interesting model!
The problem is caused by the fact that the structure starts out below the ground plane, and you have 'Floor' switched on in settings
So when simulation starts, those points below Z=0 are getting suddenly projected back up to ground height, causing it to become unstable.
I would suggest just moving the whole model upwards, and/or reducing the timestep further

Thanks, it seems to be fine now (sometimes the easiest solutions are the most "hidden").
Could you please recommend me some soft (or maybe you know about some script) to unfold double curved surfaces?
Thanks in advance.

How did you make this mash?

I`m simulationg initial shape in Kangaroo in order to stretch "memnrane" to maxiumum in-between the members. When everything will work correctly I will post the model and definitions.

I also want to ask how you made your initial mesh in rhino ? the mesh that you start before kangaroo is run?

Permalink Reply by Zifeng Wei on March 16, 2013 at 1:20pm Hi eR, amazing stuff first of all! I'm quite new to kangaroo and now working on a membrane tensegrity project. For some reason cannot get your 3dm file to load properly, got Rhino 4 SR9. Is it a version problem or do you have any new definitions?
Thanks in advance!
Best,
Zifeng
