generative modeling for Rhino
In the latest version on Kangaroo the Anchor Spring object doesn't work in my definitions. I also made some simple test files, and I found the same situation.
Do you found the same problem? Is there something strange that I have to know in the Sticky value?
(I tried to change this value in very different ways)
I have the same issue here. Do you already have the solution? Don't exactly know what the strength and sticky are about. If you know something, please let me know.
The anchor spring works as a force and needs to be connected to the force objects input of Kangaroo (not the AnchorPoints input). Sorry, I realize this is a bit confusing, and will try and make things clearer in the next release.
It effectively creates 2 points (let's call them A and B) in the same location, connected by a zero rest length spring, with point A anchored in place. So point B can be pulled around a bit but will try and stay near point A.
The sticky value controls how firmly fixed in place the anchor point A is anchored. As long as the force pulling on B is below this value, A will stay exactly where it started. If the force exceeds this threshold, then A will get dragged to a new location until the force falls below the threshold again. A will then remain anchored in this new location unless the force again goes above the threshold.
I'll try and make a video or demo clarifying some of this soon.
It works now, thank you very much!
