Permalink Reply by Suzy B on May 24, 2012 at 6:32pm Hi,
I am new to Rhino and GH. I tried to install Geometry Gym Plugins; it looked like it had been installed successfully. But it didn't ask me anything about license... After I drag the ssiStructDrawRhino.rhp file into Rhino 5, it added a couple of more tools in the toolbar; but I cannot use them at all. Nothing has been added into GH toolbar... I don't know what I did wrong. Can you help me?
I am using Rhino 5 beta and GH wip 20101001b.
Thanks
Suzy

Interesting, this might relate to a change I just made to resolve this error, http://www.grasshopper3d.com/xn/detail/2985220:Topic:601237?xg_sour...
If you run the rhino command GrasshopperDeveloperSettings, can you add to the search path the equivalent to the folder shown in this image?
The license check will only occur when you press the rhino toolbar button or a grasshopper component solves. If you run the rhino command sdrZZLicenseRequest anyway and follow the prompts.
I'll advise further if this doesn't help.
Cheers,
Jon
Hi,
How do you get Geometry GYM working on Rhino 5 64 bit? I have both rhino v4 and 5 working and GG works fine on v.4 but nothing on 5. Any suggestions?
Permalink Reply by Jon Mirtschin on July 16, 2012 at 2:42am Hi Michael,
As Rhino v4 is the official version, the installer is configured for this. There is also an issue with the installer that it can't write 32 and 64 bit registry keys, and I haven't found a way to resolve this yet.
However, the developments all work with Rhino v5 64 bits. You need to make sure the rhino plugins are loading (drag and drop .rhp files or use plugin manager). Refer http://www.geometrygym.com/installing for more details.
Let me know if this doesn't help, and I'll advise further.
Cheers,
Jon

Permalink Reply by Jon Mirtschin on August 5, 2012 at 6:58am Hi Amir,
If you run rhino command GrasshopperDeveloperSettings and untick COFF loading. Restart Rhino and see if it is resolved. This is an issue that David is considering a better way to resolve.
Let me know if this doesn't help.
Cheers, Jon
ps, if you save your screen capture to a .jpg or .png file format, the file size will be more efficient.

Permalink Reply by Jon Mirtschin on August 26, 2012 at 9:15am Hi Jay,
I have put the StructDrawRhino installer, and the openBIM plugins for Rhino/Grasshopper/Revit at this dropbox folder (should be accessible in China), https://www.dropbox.com/sh/d6hnz2xjau2pdwu/TCy6OSe1UU
If it doesn't work, send me a pm with an email address and we'll find a different way.
Cheers,
Jon
