If there is an error when it loads it should tell you what it is in the Rhino command line when you launch grasshopper.

No there is not an Error. when I run rhino & grasshopper there is nothing happen same as before I copy elk files into a component folder :(

Hi, maybe obvious but.... did you unlocked the zipfile before unzipping?

Thanks for your attention my friend, Yes I have attention to unblock a Zip file however when I run grasshopper it doesn't appear in Toolbar.

If there's no error it's going to be difficult to help. From Elk 2 onward you do need to use 64bit Rhino 5 because the GDAL library it's using is 64bit.  If you're running a 32bit version of Rhino then it won't work.

And just to make sure, when you launch grasshopper for the first time you don't get anything showing up in the Command History about errors? If you get an error that looks like that related to Grasshopper it will not load.

Once it loads it should show up on a tab named Extra with 4 components.  Versions of Elk before version 2 show up in the same location but will  have 8 components.

But as I mentioned in the beginning, if there is no error then there's no trail to help figure out what's going on.

Special Thanks to you Mr. Logan for your time to attention, It's fixed. :)

Hi

This is exactly what happens to me when i lunch grasshopper, how do i fix it?

Thank you!

Same problem :( rhino can`t find ElkLib, however elklib.dll is located in the Libraries folder in grasshooper....

"An error occured during GHA assembly loading:

Path: C:\Users\BOOM\AppData\Roaming\Grasshopper\Libraries\Elk2.gha
Exception System.IO.FileNotFoundException:
Message: Nie można załadować pliku lub zestawu 'ElkLib, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' lub jednej z jego zależności. Nie można odnaleźć określonego pliku."

how can I fix it?

I'm sorry if this doesn't add anything to the discussion but someone may be as inattentive as I was two years ago and again today :(

There is a thing to do before extracting, that is unblocking.

right click on the archive > Properties > Unblock

Thanks Dante.

That's the Issue. If you dont "unblock" the zip file before extracting the files it will not show in the grasshopper  "Extra" Tab
