Working with Points and Lists

Hi there,

I have been searching google for a while and can't seem to get underway. I'm wanting to input a list of points, with multiple branches, and simply select one item from each branch. Below is a screen grab of where I'm at, any advice much appreciated! :)

I'm new to Python in grasshopper and must be missing something simple about how it operates.
