generative modeling for Rhino
hi,
i'm new to grasshopper and i wanted to create voronoi facade structure for a personal project i want to make..
I tried some 3dVoronoi definitions but in the end the cells were not connected well enough to eachother (single corners sticking out of the structure)
I found something which resembles the image i have in my mind..
http://www.designboom.com/tools/WPro/images/11g/bh1.jpg
it's the basque healthquarter in bilbao
I want to do the same structure for different tower typologies.. e.g. straight tower, tower spliting in two parts etc.
so how did they make the facade.. did they use a 2d voronoi structre and pushed/pulled some points so it would be more plastic.. or is it really a 3d voronoi structure?
thanx in adv
rmn.

i already tried this and as i said.. it gives me some sharp, sticking out corners.. the example of the facade i posted is different. do you know what i mean?

Permalink Reply by trmnmr on May 28, 2012 at 2:38pm ok, so in the first example the corners are very pointy.. in the second example, the voronoi topography of the facade is much more calm.. I need it to be like that

Permalink Reply by trmnmr on May 28, 2012 at 5:08pm thanks, but also not what i'm looking for.. i need the same kind of surface from the facade of the image i put here.. fillet and all this stuff is not important to me.
Permalink Reply by MARIO VERGARA on May 28, 2012 at 6:45pm maybe you could upload a sketch or something where you could explain the geometric procedures you need to acomplish.
sorry but with that image is not clear to me of what you need
regards
