Volume Meter Component?

Looking for a component for my Grasshopper definition that can obtain the volume peak from the current audio playback channel. I did see the FireFly 'Frequency Spectrum' component, however it seems I can only get what is coming from the default 'Recording Devices' (which is my headset microphone). Really would like to get the global instantaneous volume peak off of the default 'Playback Device' and use the values in my definition.

My next step will probably be to write my own C# component using NAudio.dll namespace (similar to NAudio - C# Show Device master peak in realtime).

Just thought I would see if someone has knowledge of a component that is already written for GH???
